Ben starts with a single piece of carefully selected, solar-kiln dried, hard
wood that he hand picked from local wood native to Nova Scotia. After studying the wood, Ben
skillfully turns and shapes each piece with careful attention to the
character and grain, to produce a unique, one-of-a-kind, urn. Each lid is
custom-made for each urn. Ben painstakingly creates the lid by detaching
and shaping the top section of the turned urn. His attention to detail
produces an exquisitely precise fit. Each urn is then given a lengthy
sanding and a hand rubbed finish, resulting in the most beautiful satin smooth,
blemish free, clear finish, which enriches the natural beauty and warmth of
the select wood.
Ben uses only premium products in the production of these
special urns. Each urn is a high quality one-of-a-kind product. Ben's goal is to create
